Field & Digital Outreach Coordinator

Position Overview.

 

The Environmental Voter Project is seeking a Field & Digital Outreach Coordinator with at least one year of experience in political field work and social media communications. The Field & Digital Outreach Coordinator will work closely with the Field Director and Executive Director to manage and execute the organization’s multi-state field campaigns, volunteer recruitment & training, digital mobilization, and social media communications. This is a full-time position in Boston, MA, offering competitive salary and benefits. The Field & Digital Outreach Coordinator may occasionally have to work evenings or weekends.

 

Main Job Responsibilities.

 

Field and Organizing:

 

  • Serve as deputy to the Field Director

  • Manage national Election Day Reminder program - overseeing and executing e-blasts and phone calls to deliver voting reminders to environmentalists in all 50 states

  • Assist the Field Director in managing and training Lead Organizers around the country

  • Train volunteers in canvassing, phone-banks, text-banks, and other field activities

  • Supervise certain canvasses, phone-banks, text-banks, and other field activities

  • Recruit volunteers and regional Lead Organizers

  • Attend local events on behalf of the Environmental Voter Project

  • Track field operations and enter information into databases and dashboards

 

Digital Media:

 

  • Manage national and state-specific digital GOTV programs

  • Design shareable graphics, such as social media cards, infographics, and animations

  • Manage daily social media activities, including monitoring national media stories, as well as posting, responding, and engaging with followers

  • Ensuring the accuracy of all data collection

 

General:

 

  • Assist the Executive Director with certain donor communications and public appearances

 

Qualifications.

 

  • Bachelor’s degree

  • Minimum of 1 year of employment in nonprofits or electoral/issue campaigns in a position focusing on digital media or field work

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to produce consistently accurate work product

  • Proven proficiency with design software used to create visuals for all social media platforms

  • Experience using NGP VAN/VoteBuilder

  • A deep commitment to environmental issues and politics

  • Ability to represent the Environmental Voter Project in a professional manner at all times
